Kabaya maracas

Purchased in Japan. I don't know if 'maracas' is the real name, but some of the characters are holding them, so that's what I'm calling it. Gummy candy with a nice chewy bit to it. Flavors are okay, seems to get by more on the novelty factor. There's a packet inside which I thought might be a desiccant (do not eat) packet. From the picture directions on the back, it seems you're supposed to pour the powder contents of the packet into the package and shake the gummies in it. The powder didn't stick particularly well to the gummies; maybe you're supposed to lick them first. On its own, the powder tastes like Ramune (Japanese Sprite), but with a bit of menthol. Maybe that's the arctic animal theme. Speaking of arctic animals, polar bears eat seals. Maybe they shouldn't be packaged together.

Taomee cherry rings

Purchased in Taiwan. Soft gummy rings. "Cherry" was a guess based on the cartoon on the front of the package. Flavor is more like currant or just "red".

Cow Brand Milk Candy Purple Yam Flavor

Came is a bundle of about 12 of these individually wrapped little sticks. Nice flavor, but I don't really pick up on the yam, mostly tastes like condensed milk in solid form. Has a slight bite that gives way easily and disintegrates quickly in the mouth. 71

Kabaya Tough Gummy Energy

Purchased in Japan. Not sure if these actually have caffeine in them. There is some red Japanese text on the back which I'm hoping isn't a warning about how many to eat at once.
The Tough gummies do indeed have an extra stiff bite which I quite enjoy. Cola flavor is good with a bit of sour (similar to sour sugar coated cola gummies). Energy drink flavor tastes like Red Bull or Rockstar, or chewable children's vitamins. I believe the dominant flavor in both comes from B vitamins. Quite enjoyable. 85/100

Fujiya Anpanman

I'd consider this more of a novelty candy. It contained a plastic tray of six gummies (I already ate two when I took the photo):
I'm guessing the one in the upper left is "Anpanman". Along with his friends Powdered Toast Man,  Thomas the Tank Engine, and Wombat Man.

Probably the most interesting thing was the backing paper. It tore too easily to separate from the gummies, but it turned out to be edible. At least I hope so.
I liked the firm chewiness to the gummies, but the concord grape flavor wasn't for me.

Not a repeat buy. 55/100

Sour Paper

From Japan. Pretty close to a Sour Punch Sour Belt, but chewier. Not very sour. Concord grape flavor. Enjoyable enough, mostly due to the chewiness.
