Haribo Happy Chicks

 Haribo Happy Chicks

Haribo Gold Bears in the shape of chicks hatching from their shells. And then you eat them. You monster.
They're delicious. They're Gold Bears in a different shape. Same excellent Haribo gummy bounce. Same flavors. One of the perfect candies in a different shape for Easter.
Would buy again, but no preference for these over Gold Bears. In fact, slight preference for Gold Bears because I like biting the heads off first. Some of the chicks have heads but they're less defined. Yes, I'm a monster too.

Sour Patch Kids Extreme

 Sour Patch Kids Extreme

I would hardly call them super sour. Less sour than Sour Skittles for instance. Maybe more sour than regular Sour Patch Kids, but I didn't have any with me to compare.
I couldn't really taste a difference between flavors. I feel like the regular Sour Patch Kids have more distinct flavors.

I'd buy again since I like Sour Patch Kids and these are basically the same. I think I'd rather have the regular version since those have more distinct flavors.

Froot Loops Gummies

 Froot Loops Gummies

These are kind of amazing for how much they smell and taste like Froot Loops. Without thinking about it too much, I just assumed that the Froot Loops flavor is what happens when fruit flavors get put into a breakfast cereal (e.g. Fruity Pebbles taste pretty similar). But clearly, there is a specific flavor, and it can be put into gummies. Which raises the question of whether we can finally have Smarties Cereal.

I wasn't able to detect any difference in flavor between the different colored Loops, and apparently the cereal is all the same flavor. I enjoyed the novelty of it, but ultimately don't think I would buy them again.

Sour Jacks Original Sour Wedges

Wedges, yes. Sour... a little. Also, "New" and "Original" seem at odds.

These have a nice bite with a bit of bounce. They use a combination of gelatin and starch, so there is bounce, but not full "springy-ness" like with a good gummy bear.

Each color does have it's own flavor: cherry, lemonade, orange, strawberry, lime. The flavors are recognizable (for the citrus at least), but not all that pronounced. The wedge shape along with the white stripe is reminiscent of a wedge of a citrus fruit... cherries and strawberries are not citrus fruits.

The sour level is detectable, but not very strong.
Overall these are enjoyable and could be a rebuy, but aren't about to knock anything else off a list of top snacks.

Warheads Ooze Chewz

Fondant filled licorice candy. The fondant is somewhat softer than with other candies, so it does tend to ooze out a bit when bitten. These are a decent version of the genre, but nothing spectacular. The sour levels are not particularly puckering. The flavors are different between the colors, but not so much as to be able to pick a favorite.

Overall, they're decent, but nothing to seek out. 65/100

Wiley Wallaby Sourrageous Drops

The subtitle on the package says it all: "Sour licorice with a candy shell". Of course, that means "licorice candy", not licorice flavor.
With the name Wiley Wallaby, one might think that these are an Australian candy, but they are made in the USA.
The candies are small, similar to "Tart n Tiny". The candy coating provides barely any crunch and it's a soft licorice interior with very little chew. The colors have different flavors, but they're not all that distinct and there are only three. The licorice center doesn't contribute much taste. Still, they're sweet, tart, and fruity.

Enjoyable enough, but would not buy again.

Jelly Belly Gummies

So disappointing. Jelly Belly makes good jelly beans but these don't live up to the name.
The texture isn't gummy. It has no bounce. The "vegan" label on it is a good clue to that. There was also no satisfying candy shell like a jelly bean.
Flavor: "Very Cherry" and "Berry Blue" are hallmark Jelly Belly flavors, and one would expect that the gummies would have a similar flavor. Unfortunately, it's a miss on the flavor as well. Maybe they're similar, but so muted that they're just not good. I also noticed that cherry juice is an ingredient in the "Very Cherry" jelly beans but not in the gummies.
Verdict: I finished my little bag but I can't even recommend getting them just to try. 20/100
